How very exciting to be invited to a Channel four TV shoot for Kirstie and Phils Perfect Christmas. For those who know me Cocktail frocks and i do not match!! The shops are full of teeny frocks studded with sequins! I reverted to the trusty funeral dress with a few pearly necklaces to add the glam factor. I begged the hairdresser to fit me in to touch up the roots, hijacked the no17 girl in Boots to give me a once over in the makeup department, squeezed into the 'Tuck it all in pants, forced the flat large ole feet into shoes that have never fitted despite being in the cobblers being stretched all thier life, and popped the trusty black dress on. Disaster!!!! it clung to the extra few pounds i had forgotten i had acquired! After spending hours digging out the white slip, i found it too long and had to tuck it in the bra.! So lucky for me that Polegate train station has a great charity shop next door, so while my Phil was buying tickets i swapped my slip for a shorter one ..... We were off..
The location was in Acton London. Twelve of us met up at a pub nearby while the Faux cocktail party was being prepared. There were printers, perfumeries, chefs, and Thornton chocolatiers. We all got on and by
the time we arrived at the party we were great friends, sharing our tv experiences with Kirstie.
We just had to pretend we were at a cocktail party, eat hordourves and drink cocktails! easy!! It was such fun and Kirstie and Phil made us feel like we were long lost friends.
This is me having a cocktail mixed for me, and this is me saying goodbye to the gorgeous Phil, i was holding on tightly!!!!!
I know!!!! I look like the cat thats got the cream!!!!!!
