It was great to see lots of you at this amazing festival, its just gets better and better every year. I wish i could say i can share some photos of the amazing stands and quilts that there was to see, but i was unable to find time to take any because of the dramas that seem to follow me around.
I took Jess my daughter to help me on the stand, she was poorly as we left on the wednesday,( i had suspicions of her having a hang over!!!!) She became very much worse and in a lot of back pain i got her to a local doctor..... long wait in A&E........ admission to ward........discovery of heart murmur.......transfer to heart ward...........trip to Marks and Spencer for clean nightie slippers, sweetie treats. magazines and lucozade..........frantic phone calls for back up troops.........arrival of Kate.....busy busy show.......discharge of Jess.........a years wait for pharmacy..........packing up of stand.........home to loving family and mess and now we are all back to normal and Jess is going out clubbing with friends again. All in a weeks work for a busy mum!!!!!!!!!!!
So as not to dissapoint you , here are a few of my new pattern i had at the show. This is mabel a tree decoration.View this photo
At last the book i have been writing is finished , all samples and scribbles are in and it is now up to my editor to create the magic. The first photo-shoot has taken place and the girls in the office are very excited, i have yet to see it. The book is about twenty sewn projects which feature simple embroidery stitches. The colour way is all linen, taupe and red so it looks just gorgeous. We will all have to wait until April, it seems such a long time off. No doubt time will fly. I will keep you all updated. This is the only quilt/blanket in the book.
Cowslip Workshops. Another one of my favorites. Settled in the heart of Cornish country farmlands near Launceston. Drop you family off in the cafe and spend hours in the shop and savour the delights of Jo the owner. Work a visit into your holiday plans.
