This is a playground in the childrens field. Kids can spend all day here being entertained and making things, there was helter skelters, sand, water music, clowns, climbing walls, chill out ones, book corner..........just sheer magic for young minds.
This was like a giant quilt, i spent hours looking at all the statements.I teach a project on Harriet Tubman, a young slave young who escaped slavery and returned to save all her family and friends. She died the year Rosa Parks was born..... The black woman who refused to give up her seat on a bus for a white man. There is a great panel about Rosa here.
Glastonbury is also perfect for vintage shopping, they had lots of these granny square blankets for sale. My daughter is crocheting one in cotton, its costing her a fortune. Dont tell this one was only £15.00
I am home from Glastonbury Art and Music Festival where my family and i have topped up on good food, great music, tons of fresh air and sunshine and gallons of inspiration. The festival takes place over many acres and everywhere you look has been decorated with the most amazing things. This is a huge textile angel gaurding over a gate.
Well the camper van is packed and we all ready to set off to Glastonbury Festival . We have have going for the past 20 odd years and have had great fun despite the mud!!!!!
I have packed a most important bag of hand sewing, still beavering away at this gorgeous little book, and will find myself a nice shady tree, with Steve Wonder and Rolf Harris serenading me in the background.

This is a good friend Freddy checking out my old Bernina. He resides in my favorite shop The Patchwork Dog and Basket. Ahhhhhhhhhhh
Cowslip Workshops. Another one of my favorites. Settled in the heart of Cornish country farmlands near Launceston. Drop you family off in the cafe and spend hours in the shop and savour the delights of Jo the owner. Work a visit into your holiday plans.
